So, welcome back!!!  Today on our tour we are going to stay outside and with our man Gaudi.  A little out of the city, we visited Park Guell.  Now, this was a park.

First, let me preface the scene by saying the weather was beyond amazing.  There was no wind.  The sun was shining brightly in the sky and we were holding our coats instead of wearing them!  Marvelous!

This park was designed by my new love Gaudi.  On the land is the house he lived in and a beautiful view of the city.

Let’s take a walk….

Here is Mr. Gaudi’s home.

Inside we were honored to see amazing vistas of Barcelona.  I found that Gaudi lived very simply.  For example, here is his bed.

The house was surrounded by a low stone wall.  On the wall, he added burst of color through tile work.  A man after my heart!  Check it out.

Leaving the house we were privy to beautiful stone work.  Hubby was quite taken with this.

Onward we go! Let’s take the stairs…

The walls included some more fabulous tile work!

Can you tell I loved the tile?

Upon reaching the halfway point of the staircase we were treated to just a fun sight.

Pretty cool!

Now my absolute favorite part of the entire park was the seating.  I told hubby that we need to change our patio seating.  This was just so festive!

We sat there with coats in hand and our sunglasses on for over an hour.  We did not want to move.  We only agreed to because our stomachs were growling. What an inspiring place!  I will figure out how to bring some Gaudi into our home…

Thanks for stopping by!
