I’m so excited! I finally have a space in the house that is mine. Decorated by me for me. Sounds so selfish doesn’t it??? It is truly not meant to be. I have always wanted to have a space/office of my own. Afterall, we have man caves. This is my woman cave. I’m currently standing on a huge rock beating my chest…
First, my inspiration!
Lovely, isn’t it?
My new woman cave!
Beautiful isn’t it!!!
Without the lamp on.
The other side!
I’m in love with the color. As I said before, it was a bold move for me. I like it!
We have had this futon for years. I spruced it up with a new cover. I do not know why but it reminds me of the 70s. I just like the reds against the bronzy colors. It is peaceful to me.
By the window I have my inspiration. The small cabinet is one I found on the side of the road. No joke!
What a fun lamp shade! Found it out IKEA. Has the reds and the off white from the cabinet.
My desk. I love that I am able to just open it up. I have always loved that style.
Here is the top of the desk.
This is gracing the top of the desk. It was previously in my entryway. However, since I have redone the entryway, my tree of life tapestry was homeless. It is perfect here! The reds, the blues…
Another ‘tree of life’. This was given to me by a dear friend. She picked it up in Venice. Beside it is one of my favorite pictures of Hubby and I in Central Park.
My bookshelves. Both from Ikea.
The floor in this room is a little uneven. So no matter what I did, I could not get them to merge together. It is okay to me!
Closer look at the shelves.
I’m a huge fan of books! I love to read.
I tried to bring in my reds and blues.
A few of my decorating books.
Cute vase and a pic of Hubby and Amazing Daughter… a few years back.
Great pitcher! Love the cool designs!
Strange piece. Just caught my eye at a flea market!
I have had this valance for a long time. I actually used it as a runner on a dresser. It just fits perfectly in here!
Closer look. It is not a ‘real’ toile. But it has that vibe!
Finally, my rug.
It is actually a very strange shape. I guess that is why I like it! Lots of reds, blues, and greens. It is perfect for the space.
I just love the design of it!
I’m one happy camper! I’m actually sitting at my desk typing this post. I’m so proud of myself for stepping out on the color ledge and going to a new frontier. As I said in my first post about my home office, I never knew that I had some many things that just naturally fit into my space. They were all screaming for this room of BOLDNESS. My woman cave. If you listen hard enough, you will hear me roar!
