Today is the day to be Irish or to think that you are.
Winston Churchill once said, “We have always found the Irish a bit odd. They refuse to be English.” Hmmm……
This is the country the brought us James Joyce, Jonathon Swift, Oscar Wilde, Frank McCourt, Samuel Beckett, George Bernard Shaw, and of course, William Butler Yeats.
They brought us Guinness and color photography.
They have made pub crawling into an Olympic sport.
Who can not think of an Irish blessing or saying? My favorite has always been…
You have to do your own growing, no matter how tall your father was.
(If that does not motivate you, I do not know what would!)
Of course, our lives would never be complete without the love of the little guy, leprechauns.
If you are seeing green today, I hope that the famous luck of the Irish is with you!
Happy St. Patty’s Day!
